This past weekend I was led to take a deep dive into the things that feed my spirit. My Saturday began with a morning meditation. I followed up with a playlist to get myself ready to start the day. I later decided to go to my favorite breakfast restaurant to indulge in some good eats. The forecast was filled with sunshine, so I went for an impromptu walk in nature. As I was walking through the trail I noticed a creek. I walked over and just sat there for 10 minutes listening to the water continuously crashing against a tree log. The different songs the birds were singing really grounded me. At that moment I was then reminded of the nectar of life, which is the simplicity of just being. Present moments rooted in Joy and Tranquility are medicine to our spirits. The difference is figuring out what activities bring forth these sentiments, and prioritizing them. The society that we live in makes it easy for us to get lost in the day to day mundane activities. It is essential for our quality of life to actively participate in creating more joyous moments for ourselves. We deserve it!
